Frequently Asked Questions
Is Physicians To Home covered by Medicare?
Yes. Physicians To Home accepts Medicare for many eligible medical services. In most cases, patients receive the same Medicare-covered primary care they would receive in a traditional doctor’s office—except in the comfort of their own home.
Our team can verify your insurance benefits before your first appointment and answer any questions you have about coverage.
If you have other questions, feel free to contact us.
Will I have any out-of-pocket costs?
Many of our patients with Medicare have little to no out-of-pocket cost for covered services. Your coverage, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance will depend on your specific insurance benefits.
Before your first visit, our team will verify your insurance and explain any costs you may be responsible for so there are no surprises.
What happens during my first home visit?
Your first visit is designed to give your provider a complete understanding of your health and medical needs.
During your appointment, your provider may:
- Review your medical history
- Discuss your current medications
- Perform a comprehensive physical examination
- Evaluate any chronic medical conditions
- Address new health concerns or symptoms
- Develop or update your treatment plan
- Coordinate care with specialists if needed
- Answer questions from you and your caregivers
Because appointments take place in your home, your provider has the opportunity to better understand your environment and make personalized recommendations that support your health and independence.
Can Physicians To Home become my primary provider?
Yes. Many patients choose Physicians To Home as their primary care provider.
Our providers offer ongoing preventive care, chronic disease management, annual wellness visits, medication management, and routine follow-up appointments—all from the comfort of your home.
Our goal is to build long-term relationships with our patients while helping them stay healthier and avoid unnecessary emergency room visits and hospitalizations.
Do you offer home health care services?
Yes. Physicians To Home offers both in-home primary care and home health services, allowing us to provide more comprehensive care for many of our patients.
While our providers focus on managing your overall health through regular medical visits, home health services may include skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social services, and other supportive care when medically appropriate.
For many patients, these services work together to improve recovery, manage chronic conditions, reduce hospitalizations, and help maintain independence at home. Our team coordinates your care every step of the way, making it easier to receive the services you need without navigating multiple providers on your own.
If you’re unsure whether you qualify for home health services, we’re happy to discuss your needs and help determine the best care plan for you.
Do I have to change my primary care provider?
No. If you already have a primary care physician, you may be able to continue seeing them while also receiving certain in-home services from Physicians To Home, depending on your individual healthcare needs and insurance coverage.
If you’re interested in transitioning your primary care to Physicians To Home, we’ll help make the process as smooth as possible and coordinate with your existing providers whenever appropriate.
Can I still see my specialist?
Absolutely. Receiving primary care at home does not mean you have to stop seeing your cardiologist, endocrinologist, oncologist, orthopedic physician, or any other specialist. Our providers work alongside your existing specialists to help coordinate your care, communicate important updates, and ensure everyone involved in your healthcare has the information they need.
If you need specialty care and don’t already have a provider, we can also help connect you with trusted specialists throughout the Las Vegas Valley. We’ve built strong relationships with experienced healthcare professionals across a variety of specialties, making it easier to coordinate your care and ensure you receive the treatment you need.
Who qualifies for in-home primary care?
In-home primary care is often an excellent option for individuals who:
- Are Medicare beneficiaries
- Have difficulty traveling to medical appointments
- Live with chronic medical conditions
- Have mobility limitations
- Recover from illness or hospitalization
- Prefer receiving medical care in the comfort of their home
- Live in an assisted living or independent living community
If you’re unsure whether Physicians To Home is right for you, our team is happy to discuss your situation and determine whether our services are a good fit.
